SCROLL
INTRODUCTION
According to Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the poverty incidence among the population increased to 23.7 percent during the first half of 2021 from 21.1 percent in the same period of 2018. This translates to 3.9 million more Filipinos living in poverty. Most of the people that are affected are children, lone parents, disabled people and people in households in which no one works or in simple words people who don't have the ability to earn any income, salary or money.
One of the people who are affected by poverty in Taguig are the informal settlers living along the PNR Railway Bicutan Station. The life there is indigent and miserable. The informal market or talipapa is one of the businesses that you would usually find elsewhere in many other places in the city and likely caters to mostly informal settlers residing along the PNR ROW. Furthermore, They use trolleys as an alternative way to have an income in order to acquire their basic needs and that is also considered as an informal transport vehicle that serves people living along the PNR ROW.
The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness about how poverty affects the lives of individuals and families. Thus, we are extending assistance by providing "P&P" or "Pantawid-Packs to aid the continuous poverty in our country, particularly among the informal settlers living beside the PNR Bicutan Station.
